The Comforts of Home Part2

The comforts of home is a campaign that I began in September as I began to build this website.

The campaign is my way of offering a different website experience while building a long term relationship with my fans and website visitors.

The comforts of home campaign is meant to offer a website experience as if you were visiting my home. When you visit my home, I like to entertain; when I have company we either:

  • Play Video Games
  • Watch Movies? Videos
  • Listen/Create Music
  • Eat/Conversate

My goal over time is to provide that experience of visiting my home; through my website.

I started in phases, so I would keep my focus, and configure each feature in each phase complete and correct, to make sure I don’t miss anything, and to not add something unnecessary.

The Phases:

  1. Communication/Information
  2. Music
  3. Video Games
  4. Videos (misc.)
  5. Memberships/Member’s Only

Let’s explore phase 1:Communication/Information.

This is the part of my campaign where I communicate, educate, and share information about me, the person whose house/(Website) you’re visiting. I consider this to be my phone line, my means of communicating.

Having company usually involves conversation of some kind, whether it’s information or gossip; I try to encourage it through my website postings and social media.

My website postings, post onto mu social media pages and timeline feeds, which Is my external avenue to engage on social media since I don’t know how to do that through the social media apps themselves.

With paid memberships, I will provide a group setting from within and rewards points for engagements.

This phase is also where I share information about myself, my music, and other miscellaneous website postings that help you become familiar with the person who’s website you’re visiting.

I have started with creating my “Inspirations”, and my “Spotlight/Showcase” pages and postings as an information vehicle in phase 1.

Phase 1 is my means to reach my fans; my telephone, just like when I call a personal friend. Same concept; my postings are meant encourage a conversation, whether it’s music, or topics related to music.

I still have some work to do on this phase, and in due time, I will; until then, let’s explore phase 2: Music.

This is the part of the campaign which governs the shop page and free downloads for paid members, music players, and coming soon, “Instrumentals for Hire” and a membership that governs that service.

The shop page has albums and singles which contain music players to sample and stream before you purchase or download, and coming soon will be paid memberships to offer free downloads.

Not much to share about this phase except to expect new music always dropping here first.

Let’s explore phase 3: Video Games.

I have visited other artist websites, and landing pages, some with established fan bases and some without. Most websites are usually a homepage or a landing page with a shop page and maybe a blog posting page, or section.

I want my visitors to have a reason to return. One of the things I do with company is play video games.

I have recently installed a “Spin Wheel” feature which is one of the services of phase 3. This “spin wheel” feature is directed more for my visitor and not my fan. It provides discounts in exchange for an email.

Coming in November, I will be offering for my paid “Member’s Only” a spin wheel and a Pac-man video game. These two additions will be offered to my paid members allowing them chances to accumulate website points and free download opportunities. I will mention more on these when I install them.

Phase 4: Video/(misc.).

I haven’t done much for this phase yet! Don’t know quite what I want to do yet. Right now I have my you tube channel embed, but I plan to do more in time.

Phase 5: Memberships.

Memberships are my way of giving back while gaining a relationship with my website members.

A Recap: The Comforts of Home is my campaign I'm using to encourage repeat website visitor relationships by offering a different experience than the average artist website.

I see myself as a music artist, and my visitors are my friends; I’m inviting you to my website: my virtual home. If your visit to my home is boring, chances of you returning are slim.

Now if you visit my home, and I'm offering memberships to earn points, earn downloads, novelty video games to earn points and informative material on myself including my downloads and myself as an artist; would that interest you in a return visit, if every time you visit you gain something, whether it’s points or information; I know I would.

Well back to work! I have a lot more I plan to offer, so until then…..
