Gloom!
This is the 2nd song I wrote about my mother. My mother is the type that when she is stressed out or going through something; when she comes around and I try to change her mood to a more positive, she’s not having it. She like to stay in that gloomy mood and bring me with her.
I’ve had my share of life’s gloom to where I don’t need anyone else’s or any help from anyone in that capacity.
This song is a result of one incident too many which forced me to vent and channel my anger, and frustrations in this song. This song is my statement towards those that are always negative and choose not to see the positive.
I’m sure we all have some body that is always going through something and instead of hangin with friends and family as a distraction, they choose to bring their gloom, and try to consume you with it.
If you know an individual like this, play my song for them, and let the lyrics speak for you.
This was my inspiration for “Gloom!” which is featured on my album “N My Feelin’s”.
Lyrics:
Hook:
please don’t bring your gloom to me
you can keep that over there
don’t bring your stormy skies to me
consuming me with all your grief
I like to keep this positive
that’s my example as I lead
that is just the god in me
please don’t bring your gloom to me
Verse1:
I think today I need a break
I had some drama yesterday
it had a lot to do with you
because you get so damned consumed
and it’s all about you
and what you’re going through
and also what you gotta do
all this shit is stressing you
hook:
please don’t bring your gloom to me
you can keep that over there
don’t bring your stormy skies to me
consuming me with all your grief
I like to keep this positive
that’s my example as I lead
that is just the god in me
please don’t bring your gloom to me
Verse2:
everyday is the same
and nothing really change
you get so mentally consumed
and also mentally confused
don’t try to bring your gloom to me
when you speak it’s dark to me
I can not conversate with you
I can not pull you from that gloom
hook:
please don’t bring your gloom to me
you can keep that over there
don’t bring your stormy skies to me
consuming me with all your grief
I like to keep this positive
that’s my example as I lead
that is just the god in me
please don’t bring your gloom to me
Verse3:
I have my share of good days
I have my share of bad days
but I’m not one to get consumed
by something that's controlling you
selfish all about me
there's room for more than me
gloomy skies I try to keep
them far-far away from me
Outro:
please don’t bring your gloom to me
don’t bring your stormy skies to me
I like to keep it positive
that is just the god in me
please don’t bring your gloom to me
please don’t bring your gloom to me
don’t bring your stormy skies to me
I like to keep it positive
that is just the god in me
