My 1st playlist campaign, I submitted my song called “Hurry!”, from my 11th album release “F.I.S.T.FUL Thinkin’ ,Vol.1: So It Begins” (Released July 5, 2026).
The song ‘Hurry!’ by F.I.S.T. conveys a sense of urgency and excitement, urging listeners to not miss out on the performance. The artist, represented as Fist, emphasizes their unique style and authenticity, encouraging others to spread the word about their music. The lyrics use metaphors like ‘Fist on the microphone’ to symbolize the artist’s powerful presence and ‘Voice of the people’ to highlight their connection with the audience.
This was my 1st time paying for song promotions with Songtools.com, and I didn’t quite understand how the playlist placement services worked, after reading about not being able to buy your way onto a Spotify playlist.
To become familiar with the platform, and get my feet wet, I chose to use “Hurry!”, which was in my opinion a strong release that was from my latest project.

The campaigns are a minimum of 7 days, and start at $10 a day. You may determine the length of your campaign and the amount per day. So I paid for a seven day campaign, and I received a 50% discount because it was my 1st campaign; so for a 7 day campaign, I paid $35 instead of $70.
I didn’t know what to expect as far as performance and placements, I couldn’t find literature, or any examples to gauge my performance against.
Within the first couple of days, I received interactions and reviews, but no placements. During the campaign, I received a daily analysis on my campaign, and at the beginning the analysis would report the campaign being in the start up phase and check back in a few days.

For about two days into the campaign, I became distracted with life’s situations; I almost completely forgot about the campaign. When I checked back with the campaign, it had been 4 days going into the 5th, and I had received 5 placements, and the analysis reported that my campaign performance was above par, compared to other currently running campaigns.
By the seventh day of the campaign, I had received 8 placements and a performance score of 96%, and those placements have boosted my streams and amount of monthly listeners.
Once this campaign ran its course, and I start to see the results on Spotify, and my statistics pages; I was sold.
I learned a lot from this 1st campaign experience, and I learned a lot from my 2nd placement campaign, “Still Tha Same”, which I will detail in its own posting.
